On social media, the Taylor Gang performer has been previewing the song for some time.
Wiz Khalifa has one more gift for his fans before the year is up. The Taylor Gang artist has been teasing a new tune on social media for the past few weeks. It eventually arrived at DSPs on Friday, December 30. The song, appropriately titled “#NeverDrinkingAgain,” sees the rapper thinking back on a crazy night of partying after declaring he was quitting alcohol.
As the song starts, he says, “How did I slip up? / When I said I wasn’t drinking again.”
Khalifa continues his rhyme by saying, “It was just me, two chicks / We was in my backyard swimming / Smoking pot, rockstar living / They was drinking from the bottle, I was chilling.”
He sings rather than raps for the most part on “#NeverDrinkingAgain,” which has become something of a trend on his previous albums.
Recent releases from Khalifa also include his collaboration with Kid Ink on “Big Burna,” as well as the remix of Fetty Wap’s “Sweet Yamz.” In addition, he released both the standard and deluxe versions of his Multiverse album in the summer.
Other news includes the “Black and Yellow” declaring earlier this month his willingness to compete against Lil Wayne in a Verzuz.
Superstar Jay and Wiz were conversing when Wiz said, “Wayne. Given that Wayne is such a talented performer, I think that would be enjoyable. Therefore, it would be difficult for us to execute bangers while moving back and forth. And we both puff some serious cannabis. That would be more like a concert than a “Verzuz,” in my opinion.
