Logic has decided to scrap the completed album, which only raps about unreleased work by J Dilla.
In a recent YouTube live stream that aired on Tuesday (January 3), Logic explained that his decision was purely personal and had nothing to do with sharing the issue.
“I did an entire J Dilla album, but that’s another story,” said Logic. …I said, ‘I’m straight.’ Like when we were recording an entire J Dilla album with unreleased beats and shit, I thought, ‘I’m fine. ”
Instead, the Maryland native wants to see the piece end up in the hands of Boldy his James. Boldy his James announced his project last year based on his late producer’s unreleased beats. “I’d love to see Boldy do that. He’s going to kill it,’ Logic added. .”
Boldy James first announced the Dilla project in an interview with HipHopDX in 2020 and expanded on it in an interview with Phoenix’s Trill store in June.
“I have to make an announcement,” he said. “You talk about things they don’t even know what’s going to happen, you don’t know what’s going to happen either. I have a fully produced J-Dilla project. I wanted to give you the name.” But I had to say it. We have the last supply of Dilla.

The Detroit-based rapper appeared in 2012 on J Dilla’s posthumous album Rebirth of Detroit and The Cool Kids on his Detroit Game alongside Chuck English.
Logic is currently working on other projects, one of which may involve actor Rainn Wilson, widely known for his role as Dwight Schrute on The Office.
Wilson can be seen typing away on an MPC in the rapper’s home studio in a video posted on New Year’s Day that features Logic saying, “My man is making beats right now, and he’s snapping.”
It’s unknown whether anything from their meeting will be released, although producers Madlib and Logic have recently confirmed a joint project.
